Plywood lined is a board material glued out of six and more thin sheets of rotary cut veneer (thickness 2 mm; 1.5 mm) with mutually perpendicular direction of fibers in adjacent layers. Plywood thickness: from 9 mm to 30 mm.
- When plywood thickness is equal to 18 mm, a block consists of 6 veneer sheets having thickness 2 mm, 6 sheets having thickness 1.5 mm. When plywood thickness is equal to 21 mm, a block consists of 7 veneer sheets having thickness 2 mm, 7 sheets having thickness 1.5 mm.
- Plywood is made of birch, alder.
- Depending on the appearance of external layers the plywood is subdivided to 2 grades: I, II.
- Overlaid plywood has increased water resistance, it is glued on the basis of phenol formaldehyde resin RPF-3014, overlaid with films (laminated).
By the type of applied overlaying film the plywood is subdivided into the following grades:
-
- POP-Sm2 – plywood overlaid with paper-based film impregnated with phenol formaldehyde resin, smooth on both sides.
- POP-Mc1 – plywood overlaid with paper-based film impregnated with phenol formaldehyde resin with the meshed coating on one side.
- Plywood edges are painted with acryl exterior paint.
- Emission class – Е1 (formaldehyde content per 100 g of absolutely dry mass of plywood – by 8.0 mg, inclusive).
Physical and mechanical features of plywood:
-
- Moisture content – 5-10 %.
- Shear strength on a glued layer after boiling in water:
- during 1 hour – at least 1.5 MPa (for birch), 1.2 MPa (for alder);
- during 6 hours – at least 1.2 МPа (for birch), 1.0 МPа (for alder).
- Field of application: in construction, transport machine engineering, ship building, carriage building and other branches, supplied to the internal market and exported.
